Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW) Executive Director Dr. Nagham Nawzat Meets with French Ambassador to Discuss Ongoing Support for Yezidi Community

14/07/2024 - Baghdad, Iraq – In honor of French National Day, Dr. Nagham Hassan, Executive Director of the Hope Makers Organization for Woman (HMOW), met with French Ambassador Patrick Durel at the French Embassy in Baghdad. The meeting highlighted the long-standing partnership between France and the Yezidi community, with Dr. Nawzat emphasizing the vital role that French support has played in rebuilding lives in Sinjar since 2014.

Dr. Nawzat conveyed her deep gratitude for France’s unwavering commitment to the recovery and development of the Yezidi people, acknowledging the instrumental contributions made by the French government in supporting infrastructure, health, and education initiatives. Ambassador Durel reiterated France's dedication to continuing this partnership, fostering strong bilateral relations, and advancing stability and recovery in Sinjar.
